Really??
As amazing as I think Justine is, this album is a cluster fuck. In hindsight, probably shouldn't have been released and she might even agree.
After a five year absence, she needed something better than The Menace to unleash on the masses. It has a few decent songs, but a legitimate producer never would have allowed this anywhere past the demo stage and would have told them to start over. Even the album cover blows, and I am a huge fan of M.I.A.'s artwork.
I know Waterman gets a production credit on The Menace, but I actually question how much involvement he really had as it sounds nothing like the debut. The album was probably self produced with him getting a standard credit because of involvement in the initial sessions in 96.
The songs from this album on The Radio One Sessions sound much better than they did on The Menace.
